Brook Gallery
Objectives
Based on the East Devon coast in Budleigh Salterton, Brook Gallery came into existence in 1997 and since then has moved from strength to strength gaining an excellent reputation across the UK and beyond, selling limited edition, original prints. Angela Yarwood, who owns the gallery, may be running a regional gallery but she attracts some of the best and most influential artists in the UK today, including such acolytes as Sir Peter Blake, Damien Hirst, Tom Phillips, Norman Ackroyd, Terry Frost and Eileen Cooper, plus she’s good at spotting and exhibiting up and coming young artists. It’s a gallery with a regional base and a national offer, and through Angela we have worked with some of the best artists working in the UK today.
PR Activity
Kendra PR writes press releases, handles distribution and sell-ins. We also provide a listings distribution service, ensuring the schedule of exhibitions, talks and private views are included in regional and national consumer and arts media. We also work with Angela on her creative projects for maximum exposure including such work as the CCA Art Bus with Sir Peter Blake and the showing of her controversial ‘For the Love of God’ diamond dust skull work by Damien Hirst. The Brook provides an annual list of very different exhibitions that often merit coverage across a variety of media and we handle all. We have worked with Angela and her team for over 4 years and we are currently working with the Brook on the first season of their Permanent and Contemporary Collections which sets the standard in purchasing art and provides accessibility to good art for all.
