imove

Objectives
imove is a clever idea for an inclusive region-wide project that sits alongside London 2012  - a Cultural Olympiad programme in Yorkshire.  Inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, imove explores and celebrates human movement. Funded by Legacy Trust and Arts Council UK, imove includes some of the most exciting artists working in Yorkshire, Humberside and North Lincolnshire. This celebration is taking place now throughout the region and continues to July 2012.

PR Activity
Kendra PR was appointed to handle the launch of the programme.  Key for imove was that regional media were on board, understood the premise behind the programme so opportunities to be involved in imove were successfully promoted to the public, and this in turn would build national awareness of Yorkshire’s programme nationally. Managed by a team at the Arts Council who also recognised that the idea needed clarifying to the press, the imove launch party provided a perfect opportunity to do just that.  Kendra PR handled all associated media, including recommending press invitations, handling live radio interviews on the night and subsequent society media.
